Players who are familiar with the Big Bass slot series will already be well-acquainted with the calm waters of Big Bass Bonanza: Hold & Spinner’s base game.
As with its predecessors, the game truly starts to shine when you begin to reel in the Scatter symbols.
Like previous editions, the game’s bonus round is triggered when a minimum of three Scatter symbols land on the reels in a single spin. The number of free spins awarded depends on the number of Scatter symbols that land as per below:
- 3 Scatter symbols: 10 free spins
- 4 Scatter symbols: 15 free spins
- 5 Scatter symbols: 20 free spins
When the bonus round is triggered, the iconic Big Bass meter feature that many fans will already recognise will appear above the reels. Fisherman Wild symbols that appear on any of the reels during the bonus round will be added to the meter. For every four Fisherman Wild symbols collected, special bonuses are triggered as follows:
- 4 Wild symbols: 10 additional free spins and a x2 cash fish prize multiplier
- 8 Wild symbols: 10 additional free spins and a x3 cash fish prize multiplier
- 12 Wild symbols: 10 additional free spins and a x10 cash fish prize multiplier
When the third stage is reached, no more bonuses will be awarded regardless of how many additional Wild symbols land on the reels afterwards.
If there are one or more Fisherman Wild symbols on the screen, there is a chance that random cash fish prize symbols will appear on the reels and replace other current symbols.
This game stands out from the prior instalments with the introduction of the new Hold & Spinner bonus round. Players should keep their eye out for the Coin and Diamond symbols which hold values between 1x and 2,000x your stake. Landing three or more of either of these symbols on the reels will trigger the Hold & Spinner feature.
During the Hold & Spinner bonus round, players are awarded four respins and transported to a new grid where only blanks or money symbols will appear.
The money symbols that triggered the bonus round will become sticky and remain to the grid but any new money symbols that land will not stick. However, whenever a money symbol lands on the reels, the number of respins is reset to 4.
Players that are keen to try the bonus rounds can increase their chances of triggering it through the game’s Ante Bet feature which increases the chances of Scatter symbols landing on the reels.
It will cost the player 15x their bet per line and this increased cost will be applied to all spins until the feature is switched off.
For eligible players who don’t wish to leave their bonus rounds to chance, they have the option to instantly activate the bonus round with the game’s Buy Bonus feature.
This is available for both the Free Spins bonus round and the Hold & Spinner bonus round and will cost players 100x their current bet.
